Following Hurricane Sandy, the Hoboken Yards Redevelopment project won the Rebuild by Design competition for $230 million in federal funding. This project will increase resiliency, create jobs, improve quality of living, and protect Hoboken, Weehawken and Jersey City from future flooding.
Right here in our backyard, New Jersey has the opportunity to realize one of the most impactful development projects in decades. Hoboken Yards would generate more than $6 billion in economic impact for the state, tens of thousands of new jobs, improve flood resiliency, and help revamp NJ Transit’s infrastructure.
But NJ Transit wants to build an 11-foot wall instead – and refuses to move it even slightly to allow development!
With so much on the line that could benefit NJ, Governor Murphy has the chance to step in and save this game-changing project.
Call Governor Murphy and urge him to support the Hoboken Yards project.
