Low-income children and working families deserve equal access to academic success and future opportunities, which thousands currently receive through the Invest in Kids Act Tax Credit Scholarship Program.
But if the Illinois legislature fails to take action in 2023, then 9,500 students will lose their scholarships, forcing kids to leave their best-fit school. Equally important, the dreams of 26,000+ more students on the waitlist for a scholarship will evaporate. The Illinois legislature’s failure to act will primarily harm Black and Brown students from low-income families – some of the most vulnerable kids across Illinois.
Tell your lawmaker to be a champion for kids and extend the Tax Credit Scholarship Program!
