The Trump Administration recently announced a proposed rule at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) that would end Title X family planning funding for entities that perform, support, or refer for abortion.
The Protect Life Rule is now open for public comment at HHS. It is an important step in holding our nation’s largest abortion provider, Planned Parenthood, accountable.
The regulation was first instituted during the Reagan Administration and upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court, but then overturned by President Clinton, and never reinstated. It would require that Title X recipients do not perform, support, or refer for abortion.
Abortion is not healthcare. The majority of Americans oppose taxpayer-funding of abortion. Disentangling taxpayer dollars from abortion funding is the right thing to do.
As the Protect Life Rule is reviewed at HHS, it is important for the pro-life public to share their support. Please leave a comment in favor or the rule.
