No One Should Be Left Behind from COVID Aid. We Need a #Recovery4All

Last week, President Biden signed a sweeping relief package that delivers $1.9 trillion in critical aid, lifts millions out of poverty and puts the country on a pathway to recovery. Hundreds of millions of families will receive stimulus checks, unemployment is extended and cities and states will receive critical aid.

Still, millions of our most vulnerable families and workers have been left behind from relief. Immigrants, returning citizens, domestic workers and those laboring in the cash economy won’t receive a penny in aid -for an entire year -  even as many work in essential roles that help the country weather this health crisis.

This is the moment for our states to step up to ensure everyone can access the relief they need. Families are hungry, the need is unfathomable, and we must take action to ensure everyone can access income replacement and COVID aid.

Will you send a message to your state legislature and Governor to urge immediate action to #FundExcludedWorkers and provide a #Recovery4All? States can step up to provide the same relief coming from Washington and ensure we support essential workers and our most vulnerable families. If there’s one thing that we have learned during the pandemic, it’s that our health and wellbeing depends on everyone being able to access aid.
