Support adult day services through retention grants

As a result of the mandated closure of all Adult Day Programs in March, the field is facing unprecedented financial pressure. Even with Alternative Adult Day Services and the partial reopening of Adult Day Centers, months of little to no revenue have impacted the field’s long-term sustainability. Some providers have closed permanently, while others are becoming increasingly financially frail and questioning whether they will be able to ever fully reopen after the public health emergency.

We need legislators to fund retention grants for adult day providers so seniors and those with disabilities served in adult day settings can be assured their services will fully resume as soon as it is safe.

Contact your lawmakers today to encourage them to take action to fund adult day services in future legislation addressing the COVID-19 pandemic.

While information about COVID-19 is evolving, we know older adults and those living in congregate settings are at greatest risk for the most serious infections associated with COVID-19.

Thank you for addressing the costs associated with preparation and response to COVID-19.

We know we must work collaboratively during difficult times.

As soon as I am able, I hope to connect with you regarding legislative priorities outside the scope of COVID-19.

Until then, I invite you to contact me at any time if you would like more information about how we are responding to COVID-19 in our community.
