Local businesses face an enormous threat from the expanded joint employer standard.
Unelected Washington bureaucrats have ruled that franchisors are legally responsible for your employees - despite the fact that you make all the employment decisions, such as hiring, firing, salaries and promotions.
Both franchisors and franchisees are against this decision, which was made by a board called the National Labor Relations Board, or NLRB.
Fortunately, a bipartisan group of lawmakers in the House of Representatives passed a bill to nullify this decision - the Save Local Business Act.
But right now we don't have a Senator to author or sponsor the bill in the Senate.
We need support in the Senate if this important bill is to pass and become law.
Please send a message to your Senators asking them to support this bill!
