Tell Zinke: No drilling in Bears Ears, Grand Staircase-Escalante or our parks!

Help us tell Interior Sec. Ryan Zinke to stop plans to allow drilling and mining at Bears Ears National Monument and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument and on the doorsteps of other national parks and monuments.

We need to stand together in defense of wild places like Bears Ears. Please join our movement by signing this petition and telling Secretary Zinke that some places are simply "too wild to drill."

Dear Secretary Zinke,

Some places are "too wild to drill," and we are here to speak for them—places like Bears Ears National Monument, Zion National Park and the Appalachian Trail. Generations of Americans have been awed by their vistas, inspired by their history and healed by the sense of peace they instill. Just as those Americans cared for our public lands so that we can enjoy them today, we have a duty to ensure future generations get the same chance.

If we continue letting oil and gas interests operate freely inside or on the doorstep of national parks, forests, monuments and wildlife refuges, as the Trump administration has prioritized, we will be failing our children and grandchildren. We will be letting greedy interests skin our country of its beauty, its riches and its romance, in the words of your hero, Theodore Roosevelt.

There is still time to reconsider the path we're on and do better. Let's find a way to meet America's energy needs without extracting fossil fuels in or near our most cherished landscapes.

Please cease policies that encourage oil and gas drilling in or near wild public lands.

Tell Zinke: No drilling in Bears Ears, Grand Staircase-Escalante or our parks!
