Sponsored by Senator Ben Sasse (R-Nebr.), this bill requires that any health care practitioner present during a botched abortion that results in a live birth is to exercise the same degree of professional skill, care, and diligence to preserve the life and health of the child as a reasonably diligent and conscientious health care practitioner would render to any other child born alive at the same gestational age.
This should be a bi-partisan, non-controversial bill, as a child alive outside of the womb should obviously be taken care of in order to remain alive and healthy.
Tell your Senators that you want them to vote YES on the Born-Alive Survivors Protection Act so that the American people will know exactly where our elected officials stand on protecting the lives of newborn babies.
