Keeping track of all the steps needed to pass an important law — like Washington’s Climate Commitment Act or orca recovery legislation — is (literally) a full-time job. But these laws wouldn’t be a reality without Washingtonians voicing their support, ideas, and concerns.
Let us do some of the legwork for you! Washington state’s lawmakers convene in early January 2025 for a 105-day legislative session — a crucial year for budgetary decisions. After you sign up here, we will connect you with opportunities to use the power of your voice to pass key measures to protect waterways, support renewable energy and more.
The frequency of updates will vary depending on each particular piece of legislation, but we will aim for no more than once per week during the legislative session. After the session ends, you won't get these regularly until the next year.
