Act NOW to Protect Our Care

Federal regulations will expand the availability of skimpy insurance plans known as short-term, limited-duration health plans. In response, the Illinois General Assembly has passed HB 2624, the Short-Term Limited Duration Health Insurance Coverage Act. This bill will protect Illinois consumers and the health insurance marketplace, as well as encourage enrollment into comprehensive health insurance by requiring short-term plans to be regulated like all other individual insurance plans sold in IL, establishing a maximum coverage period for short-term plans for 180 days in any given year and cleaning up questionable marketing practices.

Please join us in contacting Gov. Bruce Rauner to urge him to sign HB 2624 to protect Illinois consumers against unregulated short-term plans that put Illinoisans at long-term risk for poor health and massive debt!
