Urge City Council To Support Fair Short-Term Rental Regulation

Next Wednesday, August 1st, the City of San Diego will be holding a second and FINAL reading of the amended short term rental plan that passed earlier in July. Despite the impassioned testimony of committed short term rental advocates like you, the City Council folded to the pressure of labor unions and hotels and eliminated secondary whole home vacation rentals from the proposal - a fundamental component to the travel and tourism industry that has thrived in San Diego for decades.

Now is the time to take action and urge City Council to postpone the second reading and subsequent passage of the amended proposal, and reconsider the benefits that vacation rentals bring to the broader San Diego community, rather than acquiescing to the demands of special interests that do not represent the needs of the community.  The City Council needs to get back on track and work towards a compromise that is inclusive and equitable to all home types.

If you can attend the meeting on August 1st let us know by checking the box to the right. Can't make the meeting? You can still submit a letter to City Council by entering your information!

Take action, and tell San Diego City Council to postpone the second reading of the amended proposal, and move forward with a compromise that is inclusive of all home types.
