Under our current laws, terrestrial AM/FM broadcasters can play a music creators’ work whenever they want. They don’t need to compensate the artists or even ask permission to use their work.
For the rest of us, if we invent, build, create, draw or write something, it’s ours. We get to decide how it’s used and by whom.
For music creators, the same rights don’t apply.
Streaming platforms, satellite radio, and radio broadcasters throughout the developed world accept and acknowledge the property rights of music creators. It’s time for Big Radio do the same.
The American Music Fairness Act would close a loophole that has allowed terrestrial radio broadcasters to go nearly a century without paying performers for their work.

Tell Congress now is time to end this unfairness in our industry. Send a message your representatives today and urge them support the American Music Fairness Act.
