President Biden has taken bold action to help stem the student debt crisis - announcing in August up to $20,000 in debt cancellation per borrower. This action will be lifechanging for millions of borrowers - but opponents are pulling out all the stops to block this action.
Several lawsuits are moving to try to stop debt relief, and a Judge in Texas has released a politically motivated opinion to sabotage President Biden's action. This means, until the case moves forward, the 26 million borrowers that have applied for relief will get nothing.
While these bad actors are holding relief hostage, President Biden can and must provide clarity to borrowers by promising to extend the loan repayment pause until the lawsuits are resolved and the President's plan is permitted to continue.
Send a message to President Biden and Vice President Harris to ask them to extend the repayment pause until the lawsuits are resolved.
