This Friday, the state House Finance Committee will hold a hearing on a proposed voucher-style education savings accounts program SB 193 would establish “education freedom savings accounts” for students, incentivizing parents to pull their children out of the public school system. This program would decimate public school funding and would funnel taxpayer dollars to private schools, including religious schools.
