At a time when undocumented young people are facing unprecedented attacks by our federal government, New Jersey has the opportunity to stand up for equal access to higher education for all New Jersey students by allowing undocumented and DACA-mented youth to apply for state financial aid.
This Tuesday, the Senate budget committee will consider legislation that will finally give equal access to higher ed by lifting the bar on state financial aid for undocumented and New Jersey students.
The cost of college is high enough. All students that call New Jersey home should be able to seek aid to attend college.
