State law currently limits the number of stores Tesla can open in New York. This is a major inconvenience for current and potential customers who don’t live near one of Tesla's five store locations.
The New York State Legislature is considering legislation that would allow Tesla to open up to 15 more stores in New York, which would make it easier for thousands of New Yorkers to learn about and purchase Tesla products. It would also create hundreds of local jobs and allow Tesla to deepen our investments in the state.
