Tell Congress to Support the Dream Act of 2017!

Congress has until March 5, 2018, to pass a long-term legislative solution for the 800,000 Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival (DACA) recipients. Every day that Congress waits to pass the Dream Act, 122 young immigrants lose their DACA status and become vulnerable to deportation.

The proposed bipartisan Dream Act of 2017 would give young people, known as Dreamers, the opportunity to gain lawful permanent residence--and eventually American citizenship--if they meet an exhaustive set of criteria. Since the first introduction of the Dream Act 16 years ago, Dreamers have been hoping for their contributions to be recognized and advocating for their status to be made legal and permanent. Having lived here since childhood, the United States truly is their home.

Time is running out for Congress to pass a clean Dream Act--one that will protect the lives, dreams, and future of millions of young immigrants. Urge your members of Congress to cosponsor the Dream Act of 2017.

Sample script: I’m your constituent from [City] and my zip code is [X]. I support Dreamers and strongly oppose the Trump administration's decision to terminate the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program without legislation in place to protect them. I urge you to support a clean passage of the Dream Act of 2017 (S.1615/H.R.3440). My community welcomes our immigrant neighbors and our faith shows us that immigrants are a blessing. Please support the Dream Act and do everything you can to pass it before the end of the year. Thank you.
