Take Action to Bring High-Quality Public Charter Schools to Virginia

Right now Virginia's state senators are considering a measure that would help to bring high-quality public school choice to our state.

The resoultion would allow voters to decide if the state constitution should allow the board of education to authorize charter schools.

Charter schools are public schools of choice, which do not charge tuition. They are open to accept all children, without any special entrance requirements. Charter schools are not religious, and cannot discriminate against students for any reason. They can offer an innovative educational vision, unique learning opportunities, or simply represent a new choice for parents. Charter schools allow parents to choose an educational setting that best suits their child’s individual needs.

Please send an email to your state senator to tell them that you think Virginia's voters should decide that more charter schools are right for our state.
