Do not allow the 5 basis points increase from the ABC markup to be included in the budget. This is a backdoor tax and only the legislature should be allowed to raise taxes on the citizens of our state.
The markup on liquor currently stands at 30 percent. Add to that the 56 percent liquor tax and 6 percent sales tax and we are already at 91 percent. Enough is enough. Stop the backdoor tax.
