No Repeal: Lives are on the line!

Senate efforts to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act have been derailed by the tireless work of faithful advocates. Like the persistent widow in the Gospel of Luke you have gone back again and again to tell our elected officials that we will not leave our most vulnerable neighbors – the sick, the elderly, the working poor and those living with disabilities - behind.

We can’t let up the pressure now!

Next week, Senate Leader Mitch McConnell plans a new vote to fully repeal the ACA, this time without proposing replacement plans until two years after the law is repealed. This is an unacceptable solution. According to the Congressional Budget Office, repealing the Affordable Care Act without a replacement would leave 32 million people without healthcare and end the Medicaid expansion. While some key members of Congress have already come out opposing this proposal, we must remain vigilant.

Call on your Senators to oppose partisan efforts to repeal the Affordable Care Act without a responsible replacement. Congress needs to work in a bipartisan manner to fix the real problems with our health care system. And members need to hear that Medicaid should be off the table. Act now!
