Urge Your Legislators to Support the Principles of the Paris Agreement

In December 2015 the world took a major step toward addressing climate change by adopting the Paris Agreement. For the first time, every nation in the world agreed to take steps to keep the global temperature rise below 2 degrees Celsius and to end global emissions of greenhouse gases by the end of the century. In addition, the nations of the world agreed to mobilize billions of dollars to assist developing countries transition away from using fossil fuels, repair damage that has already been done, and adapt to the ongoing effects of climate change.

Right now, the administration is deciding whether or not the U.S. should remain in the Paris Agreement. Send a letter to

The real power of the Paris Agreement will be determined by how effective each nation is at increasing its use of renewable energy and decreasing its use of fossil fuels. That is why, though the United States and Canada have both committed to ratifying the Paris Agreement, it remains critical that our legislators hear from us as people of faith that we want to see the principles of the Paris Agreement translated into real, robust policy that will assist the poor and protect God’s creation.

The CRC was present at the Paris climate summit, and hundreds of its members have been invested in advocating for steps that will translate the words of the Paris Agreement into action.

Hello, I am a constituent - Please tell my Representative that I support the Global Food Security Act, S. 1252, which passed the Senate in April and will now be voted on in the House this week.

S.1252 will benefit women and children, during the critical 1,000-days between a woman’s pregnancy and her child’s second birthday. It is a unique window of opportunity to build a healthier more productive future.

I urge my representative to vote in favor of S. 1252. Thank you.
