Tell Congress: Prioritize Hurricane Relief Aid for the Communities That Need it the Most

A few weeks ago, Hurricane Harvey ravaged communities throughout Texas and Louisiana – leaving a path of devastation that may cost more than $100 billion dollars. Hurricane Irma wreaked havoc in Florida, Puerto Rico and beyond, erasing entire islands and communities.

Natural disasters impact all people, but low income and communities of color face disproportionate burdens and barriers to recovery. Poverty, insufficient infrastructure, higher exposure to harmful pollution, and proximity to toxic Superfund sites endangers these communities and elevates their risks. These environmental injustices must be recognized in the distribution of recovery and support aid by the federal government.

Raise your voice and tell Congress to prioritize hurricane relief and recovery resources to the low income and communities of color who are being hit the hardest.

Prioritize hurricane relief and recovery support to frontline communities!
