In Oklahoma, tax-credit scholarships are providing life-changing opportunities to lower-income K-12 students who would not normally receive a pathway to specialized education.
Already these scholarships have helped students with autism, bullied students, hearing-impaired children, students in homeless families, students battling addiction, and many more.
This legislative session, we are working to pass two pieces of legislation: House Bill 3537 and Senate Bill 1384. These bills will raise the tax credit cap for donations from $5 million to $15 million. Passage of these bills would increase the number of scholarships we can provide to Oklahoma families.
We will keep you updated on the progress of these measures, which are vital to empowering parents to provide the best school possible for their children to attend.
