Music has value and music creators should be fairly compensated for the artistic works they create.
Under our current laws, this isn't the case. In fact, music laws are so outdated that many were written before the internet even existed. The good news is that a new, bipartisan bill has been introduced to benefit the artists that create our favorite songs and the consumers who listen to them.
This bill aims to restore a core American principle of fairness to music: People who work should be paid for their work, particularly when others are making a profit off it.
Support for performance rights for artists has never been stronger and momentum towards real copyright reform is building every day.
If you're a music creator or just someone who loves to listen, we encourage you to share this campaign on social media to help us show Congress that music has value and music creators should be compensated fairly for the art they create.
