Tell Congress to Defend the Endangered Species Act

Wildlife opponents in Congress have taken aim at the Endangered Species Act under the guise of "modernizing" or "updating" this successful and popular law. Make no mistake: this is NOT about "modernization" of the Act – it is an effort to weaken or destroy it as a tool to protect species.

House Natural Resources Committee Chairman Rob Bishop (R-UT) let the truth be known when he told a news outlet that he would like to "repeal and replace" the Act.

Please contact your U.S. Senators and Representative and ask them to defend the Endangered Species Act.

I have recently learned that there are bills or other legislation under consideration that would harm, change, or otherwise tamper with the Endangered Species Act.

As a constituent, I want you to know that I do not support any legislation that would weaken the Endangered Species Act or legislatively delist species.

The Endangered Species Act is important to me because it protects imperiled fish, plants, and wildlife for future generations.

I hope that I can count on you to vote against any bill or measure that would legislatively delist species or weaken the Endangered Species Act.

Thank you.
